the 2 big events are over so what would you like to see at the festival next year to make it different again. just an idea i know the commentators bring up is how about some really up to date hillclimbers, we get Rod Millen and a few pikes peak cars so take it a step further.
cricket pitch display maybe Doug Nye will get his wish and get an old train on it.
p.s. did anyone get the 2009 dvd this weekend and what do you think, love the Loeb on board camera

A quarter mile drag strip with some fully functional fuelers would be well worth the trip. I don't know where you could fit it and the logistics would be a nightmare, but I reckon if anyone could do it Goodwood could.

Take the concept of the Loeb /Meek car swap further and have 10 past and present rally 'greats' do the stage in a modern fwd WRC car and then in a RS1800 or Mk1 Escort

I'd like to see - bizarrely enough - some boats at the FOS. I'm talking about boats that have either a car engine or an aero engine in them, preferably wood as well. Things like the Gold Cup racers from the 20's-30's and the unlimited hydroplanes of the 50's onwards - not to forget the European efforts with Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa engines in them. Might be an interesting addition for the Cricket Pitch?

Ken block, hes amazing. - Has anyone else noticed that he has something 'different' every year, Chris Pfeiffer (or how ever you spell it),Bob Riggle Hemi Underglass, Dougie Lampkin, Jesse James.
Maybe a burnout competion?

Might be a bit hard to get them running but it does sound interesting as a static display.

I think a safe bet for key manufacturer/major celebration next year will be Alfo Romeo, 100 years in 2010. I would hope to see Ken Block , the only thing he would probably be in his rally car rather than the Gymkhana car, probably to do both runs like Jesse James did this year. Who knows. Would also like to see Danica Patrick, there was mention of her at this years FOS. Dont know if their will be a Moto GP clash next year. Either way I already looking forward too it.

They had a Bluebird boat on the main display outside the house a few years ago.

They are always messing up the subtitling. I've seen shock absorbers that have £3000/sq inch of pressure! biggrin

I would just like them to restrict entry a little bit , I've given the festival a miss the last couple of years as it's just got too crowded to be comfortable especially around the garage areas and I thought the revival was noticably more busy this year as well , that said both are fabulous events and the revival is a MUST do for me. It would be really great to see Mansell and Hill driving at the revival , in some sort of catergory.

Would love to see a collection of one-off and unusual F1 cars; whilst they have all been there individually would be good to see the 6-wheel Williams and Tyrrell, Brabham Fan Car, Williams Walrus Nose, Lotus twin-chassis and Gas Turbine etc. all together - worth of a class in itself.

Personallly would be happy to see lass emphasis on the new cars - do we really need three versions of the Veyron or 5 different McLaren SLRs??

Yup. Here he is in 2003. Before he started the run all the marshals took a couple of steps back. And he's a really good bloke as well. More than happy to chat about the car in the pits.
