Dominican Republic - Beach Houses

Looking for a holiday in the Dominican Republic but not your bog standard hotel all inclusive jobby. I’m sure I've seen that you can get some sort of beach house on the beach (obviously) with the sea right in front of you, also with people waiting hand and foot on you.

Has anyone got any experience of this in DR? If so do you have a website etc?

Not sure I'd want to stay in the Dom rep without being in a 'secure' inclusive place. Had a lovley holiday there a few years ago but it can be a bit rough in places.

I've only been to Dominican Republic once, but it was the worst holiday I've ever had and I wouldn't want to be anywhere there that's unsecure.

For what your looking for, I'd suggest Maldives, Thailand, Bali, Indonesia, even Philipines.

Taj Exotica hotel in Maldives...

Stayed in the Taj Exotica in Sri lanka and it was Very good!

We are just about to go for the 4th time.Not in a beach house though.Some of the best parts of the country are outside the artificial secure tourist areas.It is a poor country agreed,but don't let the reps danger speech put you off exploring.
