Afternoon all, my Cerb is in for MOT on Saturday, at a non TVR garage local to me. How do they typically fair come MOT time? I mean I can't say "Oh, the handbrake? they all do that!!" etc, I just don't want to go to collect her to find a prohibition notice on the windscreen and wondered if you had had experiences worth noting good or bad? Thanks

You need to find a 'TVR Friendly' MOT garage. Mines due in 2 weeks. I.ve found one, but I live in Sheffield.

I would try an TVR indy garage..and find out where they take it, even though you might have to travel a bit.

Had two MOT's now.... passed first time both times.
I was most worried about emissions but these were surprisingly good for a 4litre petrol guzzler.

My 1998 Cerbera is in for an MOT tomorrow. It usually sails through via either HHC - main dealer or Joospeed - Independant of note.

Why go anywhere that doesn't speak TVR?

My Cerb failed its last MOT.
Things of note were tyres (front alignment was out and the tread was wearing unevenly).
Emissions (no surpise there).
Handbrake (again surprise surprise!!) my local independant then sorted all the issues and took it to the local TVR friendly garage and second time around it passed, it then needed a slight bit of fettling to get if right again afterwards (re-adjust the throttles and fueling after they were fiddled with to pass the emissions check).

when i had the 99 4.5 mot'd at a non tvr garage, the guy said
"your handbrake doesn't work, but they are all like that aren't they?"

"your emissions are too high, must be my machine faulty!"

"here's your mot cert, your car is beutifull"
