No experience of the Star Clipper type passenger ships, but lots of time spent sailing square rigged tall ships around and now working for a UK charity that own 2 of them.
I'm biased but I prefer the challenge of working the ship and don't think I'd get the same enjoyment watching the professional crew climb the rig, set sails, helm the ship, etc. Though I can see the attraction of non-stop cocktails served by fit birds and having fancy meals served to you at any time you like rather than making your own grub, clearing the Galley up afterwards and then spending 4 hours on watch in the dark and pouring rain.
That's probably not a very good marketing pitch for my ships
PS I'll see your 16 sails and raise you to 21
(you win on pools, we use the sea...)

Back in 2006 the company I worked for took everyone away for a long weekend cruising round the Greek islands on the Star Flyer (sister ship to the Star Clipper). It was a wonderful experience and the ship itself is just fantastic. My wife and I have some great memories from the trip. I'm sure you'll have a great time.
