Hi all,

going to a wedding in Chicago next year, and I am thinking about buying another watch, possibly Rolex, a GMT or SD I am thinking.

Can anyone enlighten me as to the savings in the USA over here? And where might be a good place to look?

I plan to wear the watch on my wrist when I come back and post the papers and box etc to my mothers house while I am out there..

any tips would be great smile

Bargain hard and you can get great deals in vegas right now. They are desperate and will make big moves to sell expensive watches. Keep haggling and walk out and come back and you'll likely save a bit more.

I found most prices to be similar or indeed more than here, especially at my end of the market (sub £1k).

I'm currently based out of Scottsdale, AZ. I could have got a rose gold IWC Spitfire chrono for the same price in dollars I would have had to pay in pounds in the UK.

So who is right, or is it entirely dependant on location?

I am also heading to Chicago within the next month with work, then Monterrey (Mexico) and Cleveland before Christmas... is it likely I could get a good deal anywhere?

I think I am in the market for an Oris, I have googled US shops and their prices (without any haggling) are way more than UK currently... maybe I'll cross my fingers for a spectacular rate improvement by then wink
