Recently bought a 96 Chimaera and looking forward to putting the roof panel away, meanwhile, does anyone know a place in the Wilts / Glos / Bristol area that will recover the roof panel?

I would guess that trimmers who do the folding bit would do the panel as well. There's one in Swindon (I forget thename, in the Y.Pages tho) who do all the work for David Hendry (official TVR dealer for Wiltshire) in Malmsbury, or so they say. Bloody expensive though. From what I've seen on previous posts you're better off going somewhere like Peninsula, David Gerald, etc and getting a price from them.

My rear window came unstitched a while back and I rung round to get that repaired and prices locally (I'm in Gloucestershire) were just stupid, so i did it myself.

Don't remember exactly. A couple of hundred quid to replace around a foot of stitching.

I THINK I was quoted 240 locally, but I heard Peninsula were quoting around 130 for the same repair.

Incidentally do they have a website?
I found an address www.peninsulauto.co.uk/ which advertises as if it is them, but whenever I've tried to see what they've got it's always down.

If its any help I know someone in leicester that will restitch the whole rear window for around £60, he does full re trims and all sorts and looking at the prices a lot of people have been getting he would probably be quite cheap on re covering the roof panel.
