Has anyone got a good quality picture of the Sagaris suitable for the cover of Feb's Sprint? I've got some but none really grab me. The best has a Mercedes in the background. What are the chances of that, eh? The only Merc not to be in the outside lane of a motorway.

I'm after 35mm quality, which equates with 5 megapixel for digital cameras. Portait is preferred.

editor@tvrcc.com. I'm broadband, so download is not that much of a problem.

Can't pay, I'm afraid.

Regards,

Derek

I took a few of her back stage at MPH03.
(I took a total of ~200 pics at mp03)

Cut down versions can be seen here :

www.tvgam.org.uk/tvgam/cgi-bin/gallery.pl?gal=9

If I remember most of the Sagaris pics are on pages 2 and 3. I've still got the originals 3.2M pixel - (2048x1536 @300dpi)

If any of these are of interest to you let me know which ones and I'll send you the full size versions.

Good hunting

Have a look here:

www.sleepy-fish.com/Sagaris.htm

All are available from a 6mp camera if you find something you want.

Not too shabby for a portrait. This one has been cropped, so there's more available if you want some extra space.

It's fabulous. The pics do not do it justice!
Just sat in it caused the grin that I usually reserve for driving mine

It's striking I'll grant you that, but what do you think of the design from an engineering point of view? There are a lot of details that just don't make sense, and having seen it close up now I'm more convinced than ever that it was styled rather than designed.

Like what? I have heard that the car has been developed with several ideas that have come out of the Le Mans and GT program, plus additional wind tunnel work.

Whats the vent behind the driver for? Is it just cabin ventilation?

Is the rear spoiler glass or plastic? ("palstic" 1for want of a better word).

Has it still got the silly T350 fuel cap handle in the boot?
Edited:Opps, left myself open for some punches there I think!

The vent behind the driver is a side effect of the raised roof which is there to better accomodate a driver's helmet...

Not sure about the spoiler but I would be surprised if it is glass!

Oh, and the vents over the wheels are there to "reduce the high pressure spots that develop around the wheels at high speed"

Further proof that form follows function on this car I think!

There is no vent behind the roof bubble, which is there to accomodate a driver wearing a helmet.

The rear spoiler is perspex.

I've still not managed to work out where the fuel filler is - my guess is that the filled it up with fuel at the factory, and in the rush to get it ready for MPH03 simply stuck the body on without a filler cap!

the fuel filler is in the boot on the left hand side, behind a bit of carpet in this one, but *aparently* (so don't quote or shoot me) they are still deciding where the fuel filler will go.....

Ther is a vent at the back just above the hatch on the drivers side.
If its not a vent then perhaps someone left a bit of insulating tape on it.
A bit of a nonevent really!

BTW: Look at the bottom of this months sniff petrol

...... and as Pauline pointed out at Castle's, there is zero room for suspension compression at the front - OK for the track, but by the time Ed has negotiated the roads to the Foresters in his incipient new toy, he'll have no teeth or spine left!!

I've checked - no vent, and no tape either!

Yep - seen Sniff Petrol!

That's ok - they're included in the list of body parts I'm trading in so that I can pay for it!
