Chaps,

Since I've had a mk6 Golf I have noticed different badging for mk6 Golf's and it always puzzles me.

For instance mine says 2.0 TDI where as others just say TDI, anyone know why?

Also mine has twin exhausts and some have single exhausts, why?

Congrats on the car, pictures are always nice. I'll try and break it down for you.

TDI alone will be a smaller engine, say the new 1.6TDI. It's to sort of hide its engine capaciy whereas yours is a range topper so its written.

Twin exhausts are reserved for the higher powered cars, such as yours. Sort of just adds to the sporty feel. Yours is a 160ps?

Thanks, wondered if it was something like that.

I think mine is the 140bhp model.

I drove the GT but found the ride far too stiff. I've had it since June this year so I guess I should post some pics.

I've had a range of fast company cars like my old Civic Type R but I like the golf for getting around in it's laid back punchy way.

The only things I dislike are the day running lights and the cars lack of willingness at lower revs in 2nd gear. I've found it very easy to stall pulling at junctions just over 1,000rpm doing things like that.

Ahh rite, yep I always like to see pics. Heres how to turn off your daytime running lights by yourself:

Thanks, as it happens I only have one picture.

I had an accident shortly after that picture and the car has been off the road for 6 weeks as they couldn't get the parts for it.

(A car lost control infront of me and slid into my path, It was a low speed accident but damaged the front bumper)
