The Orange Typhon has reappeared.

I may have missed it posted before, but just noticed the orange Typhon has turned up at Racing Green (although they seem to think its a TYPHOON !! ). I assume its come from Multipart(Crick) with the other incomplete cars. Last time I saw it was 3 years ago in Bristol Avenue , with many bits missing (Heath & Paul had it in the service area)... including an engine and dashboard. It would be nice to see it back on the road...just need my lottery numbers to come up this week...

It's much more than a rolling chassis. There is(was)a large box of bits including three superchargers, suspension parts, trim etc and a low compression engine when I was asked by TVR to help move it on last year (NS changed his mind AGAIN when a deal had been agreed

It's about 95% there just needs a gearbox some patience and as Keith has suggested cash.

It did have the sequential gearbox and supercharger originally. If you speak to Trevor Cooper he can tell you about doing a 360 down Bristol Avenue when ithe transmission locked solid. 
The installation overheated on a regular basis I understand which is why there are no real Typhons out there.

Personally I don't like the car. IMO it's disproportioned when you have time to look at it. It'd be nice to have as a historical piece and to build it as it was originally intended.Interesting to see an incomplete Cerb in the background... what's that doing there?
If you look closely at the Cerb you can see it's got some frontal damage so it's probably an insurance write off or repair.
There is supposedly a T440R race car somewhere in Hungtington in York.....I'm yet to see it, can anyone help me find out if this is true?
Second, the shape of the Typhon was very very aerodynamic. If it produced the 530bhp TVR said it would, it'd be good for some SERIOUS top speeds. I really like the design, personally.

The last one I heard of was the Dewalt one which was sold by Racing Green to a bloke in Sussex with lots of TVRs who intended to race it. The race engines used at Le Mans were supposed to be the ultimate Speed Six's as many thousands were spend to try to make them reliable. They were 4.5L's IIRC which made around 385bhp at the wheels, but with less torque than you can now get from one of the 4.3 conversions available. So I doubt very much that 530bhp was reached (at least for any length of time). But with a supercharged speed 6 the car should go well.

The Cerbera body in the background looks like the old S6 TVR cerbera but i may be wrong.Interesting to see an incomplete Cerb in the background... what's that doing there?
