If you brake hard they will lower slightly
To adjust them you will need to get in the inspection hatches, take bonnet off and look in them, hope screws/bolts not too rusty.
Ha Ha, been using the "breaking technique" all year, still mot time is looming, which way do they need turning? any ideas?

put the car in your garage and turn the light's off ( or in front of your garage door)
main thing is that it's 100% level
point it towards a white wall or put a wooden plate in front of the car and mark the hight of the beam.
then go turning
yob done
tip 1: put on some household gloves. working in that area can put some polyster chips on your hands
tip 2: if you are going to enlower the car within the next few weeks. do that first
