Hi guys,

Currently looking to swap my 330ci for an E46 M3, I've had test drives in both SMG and manual and think I'm leaning towards the SMG. Makes the car feel even more different from my 330 which is a manual and a bit more "special" in my opinion.

Anyway, I tried most things with the SMG, hill assist, S & A modes etc but forgot to ask the guy if you can leave the car in gear when parked? I quite often have to park on quite a slope and having had issues with the handbrake on my E46 I'd always like to leave it in gear...

Presume you can but just checking?!

Thanks

Either way, doesn't matter. You get some beeping if you don't, but you can just turn off the ignition to stop that...

Yes, either way.

I leave mine in gear when parked on a slope.
