Help me with a conundurum
Discussion
I am hoping that some people could help me with a conundurum.
Me and my girlfriend have decided to have a break for a couple of weeks. Do these ever work or are we doomed???
The reason we are doing this is that I have been taking her a bit for granted (not replying to her texts, not telling her I love her etc etc) and it's come back to bite me in the arse a bit.
She's coming round mine on Friday so I'm also looking for advise on what to do for her so we can rekindle that spark. If we can rekindle that spark then there might not be any reason to take a break.
Cheers in advance guys.

We do spend quite a lot of time together. I see her almost everyday but I'm so caught up at work I'm always tired so we don't have sex as much as we used to because I'm always so tired. Luckily I won't be working this much for much longer.
Therein lies the problem sir. Jasandjules said:

I think your probably right but I have been massively involved in a court case at the moment and as a litigant in person I'm hugely busy. I'm going to court in a couple of weeks so maybe a break is the best thing. But do they ever work. And what shall I do on Friday???Therein lies the problem sir.
You know what you have done wrong! so start by telling her you know what you have done and you are really sorry! Tell her you would really like to make it up to her! take her out for a nice meal along with some romantic gestures! Book a little holiday away with her, doesnt have to be right now, almost better if it isnt as she will know you are commited long term! and remeber girls love all things shiney! If its meant to be it will be!

Take Friday off. Completely off. Spend the day together (assuming she can get time off work etc if not then go somewhere Saturday instead, a day at the beach playing on the arcades or something equally childish, but fun). Go out somewhere nice for dinner Friday night, or get a movie and a takeaway and spend some quality time together. Tell her that the case won't last for ever, you know that you are not giving her enough attention and you are sorry. Promise that as soon as the case is over you will do something together like go away. Please believe me I am fully aware of the difficulties faced by litigants in person, and the work required to run court cases.... As an aside, have you sought legal expenses insurance protection from say your house insurance as they may have cover? (is it perchance an Employment Tribunal?)
Cheers jasandjules that's sound advice but funnily enough she's working. I think we might have a drink, takeaway and a film that sounds perfect.
Yea being a litigant in person is a pain in the arse, but I'm not a home owner and have no real assets accept my business which has ceased trading until I regain my £50000 from the defendant. So no not an employment tribunal as such. But if you have any advice on going to court that would be awesome.
