...the daughter of an aristocratic surgeon, she drank away her inheritance- equivalent to £15m today (not sure I agree with this bit)
.......she gave up the booze and reinvented herself as a cookery writer as one half of the fat ladies.
.....in recent years she became one of the most high profile champions of field sports in the country- cheers for that, we need a champion.
......she has received numerous death threats from 'the bloody antis' but pays them no heed.
Her genius moments:

A legend- a strong voice for field sports, and unafraid to stand and be counted for what she believes in.

Dickon-Wright is a fantastic woman. I went on one of her cookery courses weekend....mmmm....meat.
But field "sports"....hmmmm....don't agree with them unless you use a gun. I don't find any "sport" in causing animals undue stress and pain (which probably sounds odd when I'm happy blasting animals with a rifle or a shotgun) but hey-ho, I still think she's a national treasure.

ked up stupid people - everyone is an idiot until they prove otherwise (to a certain degree sadly).Desert Island Discs transcript here, where we hear about punching Alsations unconscious and the real reason why she's a bit rotund, amongst other things. I think she's brilliant and clearly quite mad.
