Craig I hope this is not inappropriate to post in the VMAX Forum...

Hi Guys and Gals,

HSV.Org.uk (HSV and Monaro owners) would like to invite all Vmaxxers to our 'Thunder Road' event on 18th Oct 09.

While no substitute for the excellent VMax events, it will give us a warm up until the next Brunters trip. Thunder Road will take place at RAF Woodbridge(nr Ipswich) and will consist of unlimited timed standing mile runs taking place on the 2mile Runway. The timing will include 1/4 mile time, mile time and terminal speed.

The event is designed to give us all the chance to put our cars through their paces and see what they can actually do in a safe environment. It will also be an opportunity to meet other owners and have a great social day. I must stress that this is not some kind of formal competition so all cars are welcome(whatever state of tune). This genuinely is about the taking part.

The entry price is £99 for unlimited runs.

If there is an interest please respond in this thread and I will forward the link for booking online.

Regards

Phil

Thanks for the invite - I have booked on it through the Javelin website, I want to run some 0-300kph data. Was going to do that Edinburgh one until some H&S cocks reduced the run to 1400m inc stopping distance !
Is it right that helmets are obligatory ?

We just took over some elements at Rock, I never got chance to look at the runway, but would fancy this if I can make it.

Will there be any noise limits though?

Jon, will yours work with the 993tt Bosch Hammer, does it have the input thingy as found in the footwell on the 993tt ? If so I could bring that along so you could read IAT and other stuff...

Phil, your profile doesn't let PM's through. I haven't recieved anything on email yet, i've emailed Chris though.

Toby, would be great to borrow your Hammer, i've been looking for one for ages but none are available! I have the OBD2 port thing needed to plug it in, would be awesome to get some engine data as you say, i'd like to see if it's pulling timing due to high IAT. Please do bring it along, cheers mate smile

£10 for supporters, but you need to have a supporters pass booked by one of the participants...
