Hi I was wondering what the consensus was on putting flyers on super cars? I want to put one of my photography ones on a scuderia I see parked up quite often cant see anywhere visible the owner might be otherwise I would give it to him in hand but is it kosher to flyer super cars or is it a no go?

It's not going to fall apart if you were to gently lift the windscreen wiper and place the flyer underneath, my only worry would be in wet weather where the ink and paper will make a mess....! If it's there every day, is there any other way you could trace the owner?

Just make sure you don't lift wiper too high as you will damage the paint on the edge of the boot lip (wipers need to be in the middle of the screen to be lifted off the screen)

People do it in london a lot when the arab cars were here, one guy got a ride in an LP670! Putting it under the wiper is a lot better than this:

Under the wiper seems the obvious place mate.
Failing that, just wait around til the owner gets back.

If you write the guy a personal note to go with the flyer he's less likely to be irritated by you doing it IMO

I had someone put a flyer on my car once, there was a slight rain shower and the 'kin thing stuck itself to the windscreen. If I could of made out the ad on the flyer, I would of called them up to complain.

I dont respect any fliers whatsoever. I am fed up with people entering our car park and leaving fliers under the wiper. When it rains, I have had to stop my car and remove it from halfway up the windscreen. They should be banned as it is littering and also dangerous. Noone should be able to touch another persons car, no matter what it is.

It helps with the heat in that region of the world and also some privacy for the owner/passenger who are often royals of their respective country.

Thats what i thought, but arnt they illegal in the UK? any tint on the windscreen?

Also i agree that noone should touch a car that is not their property. as i have said before when people do it. Respect others property and just admire froma distance!
Some guy from Holland went round touching every supercars badge that was at the dorchester... why? what do you get out of it?

Yupp no more than 25% for windscreen and 30% front windows can't be tinted. I suppose they are tourist and many of them are under the diplomatic umbrella just to confuse things.

I've seen alot worse than just touching, it's the old argument it's just a car versus someones P&J.

There is a way to stop non-addressed junk mail falling through your letterbox, from the Royal Mail's website:

"If you wish to opt out of receiving door to door mail items, please send or email your name and address to the address below:

Freepost RRBT-ZBXB-TTTS
Royal Mail Door to Door Opt Outs
Kingsmead House
Oxpens Road
OXFORD
OX1 1RX

or email: optout@royalmail.com

We will then send an opt-out form to your address, which you must sign and return. We do this for security reasons - to verify that those resident at the address have requested the ‘opt out’.

Once you’ve returned this form, Royal Mail will stop delivering unaddressed items to your address within 6 weeks".

Just how many pizza/kebab/curry/etc places use this scheme then?

Most estate agents ignore it as well.

I am glad you started this thread as this is something that I was curious about. To bo honest I prefer to try and catch the owner if possible and give them a business card in case they want some photos of their car, otherwise I would start a thread on here. I think sometimes an owner's passion for their car is almost as interesting as the car itself.
