I just looked where Piedmont is in Italy, it North which is the right end for a drive!
I assume there's lots of tunnels near you?

I feel an organised trip to Italy coming on to come and see your famous car!

Carlo, I agree with Tinks

I don't usually like the more modern wheels on the S's, but with your style of bonnet, dark colour and later wing mirrors they do look good.

All you need now (in my opinion anyway) are some smoked rear lights to finish it off like the ones on mine.....



I'm sure you can get them on ebay but after a recommendation on this forum I got mine from here...

Got loads of ideas already for routes etc in that area. Plenty to do aswell - some stunning roads/scenery (Stelvio etc etc), factory tours to the south (Ferrari etc) and then there's Monaco etc along the coast..... If only I could spare 2 weeks to do it all justice However I'm sure it could be worth doing for 4 or 5 nights......mmmmmmmm......

I was looking for them but didn't find anywhere...

Why does the idea of a 3,4 or 5 night high speed tour to North Italy sound good to me?....A convey of TVRs...all S's roaring around the Alps...through tunnels....beautiful valleys....mmm.."On days like these..de dum de dum...on days like these"....load the the boots of 3 Tivs with the gold...ah...I think I hhave gone too far now..

Like Longers, I'm not normally a fan of big wheels on S's, but I do think yours look very nice.

Now, following the development of this thread, the opportunity of driving over to see them in person sounds like a great idea!!

are the smoked rear lights from a Escort RS Turbo?

The lights are simply "smoked" versions from standard mk4 Escort, I don't know if they are different to the Turbo

I think its the usual manufacturer trick - the RS Turbo and other sporty models got the dark ones first - then as the escort became older they gave all models the darkened lights towards the end of the production run.

I see the confustion here.. its RS Turbo Series 2 which is an escort Mark 4.. but any escort Mark4 lights will fit, the turbo's are usually smoked.
