I think he deserves another chance, i watched him through F3 and GP2 where he was quite impressive, challenging hamilton throughout GP2. And lets face it Briatores second drivers are never likely to get as much support as the main driver, i would be interested to see what he could do with a decent opportunity.
I suspect that sadly these new 'drives' will go to the moneybags and not necessarily to the deserving talent.
Someone such as PK junior has the massive financial backing of his father so may not have to rely on the rather uncertain lottery of sponsors in the current climate. Whether he gets a seat or not, I dont see him ever being competative, but then thats probably because a big team wont touch him with a barge pole.

- How many scandals does he have to be involved in before something sticks!? Surely Ferrari must be mildly concerned with his recent history.

Formula 1 sponsor Virgin has dismissed any suggestion that it could play a part in helping Nelson Piquet back to the sport - after rumours that the Brazilian could be on the shortlist for the new Manor Grand Prix team.
Virgin is set to take title sponsorship of Manor for the start of next season and comments made by team owner John Booth about Piquet were interpreted by some to suggest that the Brazilian could make an F1 comeback with the new team.

Rumours were that Max set everything up and got all his favourite factors in place and that it was a guaranteed entry before the tender was even announced. Bernie, apparently, set up the Virgin deal.

I have just listened to the ALMS quaily and Nic W was interviewed and talked, a lot, about F1.
