Every morning I see a few familiar faces.

TO some of these I've ascribed delebrity status and others are just odd characters. I've almost convinced myself one of them is Mike McShane (comedian) and that another guy I see on a bike is Ando from Heroes. Then there's bad tempered dad walking his son to school and the almost smiling lady.

Is it just me that does this, if so I probably need to declare myslef some kind of mentalist.

Used to get a train to work, so would come across this fairly often.

Was the guy I'm pretty sure worked on Gadget show, although wore different glasses. The bird who always looked at me weirdly. The person who was always late, why don't you leave 5 minutes early!

The young guy who'd wear a fairly old fashion suit, take an umbrella to work (in summer), wear a hat. Very smart he was, but looked out of place (sad really).

Oh I am terrible with this. Although I am a mentalist so thats no help.

But I do same route most days and see same cars, same people, same things happening, and in an hours journey so plenty to see. There is always a man or a woman walking two labradors at the same time and same place, they weren't there one morning and I worried all day. And depending at which point they are down the road (it's a long road) I can judge how late I am going to be for work laugh

I even smile at a lady now who drives a Maserati and is the same spot in traffic everyday, I named her Betty, no idea why.

Another chap with the same car as me seems to be doing exact opposite route as I see him most places at different times, I have named him Bob and I don't know why but I think he is a car salesman.

Same people at bustops as well. One very pretty girl who am sure poses they way she does up the bus stop post like that on purpose, and another guy I wonder whether he has to pay for two seats as he is so BIG.

Oh and the old lady with no hair..I wanted to buy her a cap in the recent blazing sun.

Can I hazard a guess - is it a dark grey Maserati 3200GT (boomerang lights) and is the route Brunstfield to central Edinburgh?

The Swindon express travel daily between Swindon (obviously) and Farnborough.

Over the years we got to know a guy in a Maroon Omega - registration letters CGT.
As the years went on, we imagined we knew him and even invented a story about him. The story started with depressed man, stuck in a dead end job.
Then the story moved onto the fact that he had lost his job, but couldn't bear to tell his wife and kids, so drove to work and sat outside daily.
He disappeared recently. Probably bought a new car or got a new job.....

Now we see a lady that we have codenamed Cruella.

Ive been doing the journey for 12 years and need something to cheer me up. Imagination is a wonderful thing.

ETA: We also see a white van that belongs to a builder. Its sign written as BJ Champion - never fails to raise a grin, even at 06:30......

Green Chim, S Reg with PH sticker, on the slip road to the M3 this morning.

Then got behind a van of company "BJ Champion", which made me chuckle.

Oddly enough I spotted this in Hayes yesterday.

The driver was sat in the freelander at the time and even he seemed to find the funny side of it as I was taking the picture. hehe

Guy at work used to commute from peterborough to london daily. Same seat, same train, same people every day.

He'd get on sit down with the Times and get stuck into the crossword. A little later he would look at his watch with a smug grin, close the paper and put it in his briefcase, getting impressed looks from his fellow passengers.

He had written nothing but gibberish in the crossword.

Passed a gorgeous looking girl yesterday in a lovely new Golf Gti.

Long black hair, mid 20's. Really good looking.

Finger up her nose to the 2nd knuckle.

Someone told me an identical story the other day. Very good.

It's a story only about a year younger than the Times crossword itself. That said I'm sure there have been many imitators.

friend of mine once employed a guy who was good on paper and interviewed really well.

The guy turned up on time every day, dressed smartly & got stuck into (work) phonecalls all day long. Would go out at lunch with 3 cans of coke then come back and make long intricate work calls all day.

After a month or so they noticed he wasnt really bringing in any money so decided to listen to a few of his taped calls to see if they could see if he was going wrong or missing anything etc etc...

evry single call the whole time was to a nobody.

Can you imagine coming in for 8 hours a day sometimes longer and just talking to yourself??

Oh & when they fired him they searched his bags, they reckon he was taking about 40 cans of coke a day home hahaha

Absolutely all the time

Stringy Dan / RRover sport - Stringy comes from String-vest = pest. Works in the same office but i really dont want to speak and talk at 6am. Please bore-off and leave me alone until i have a caffeine injection. punch

Andre the giant / Isuzu 4x4 - Middle aged tall chap. Looks like Mr. Benn on steroids. I always have my place on the 6.18am WHY do you always have to stand near me and then edge ever closer with your black fabric shoulder-bag on the platform. You will get a seat you numpty. banghead

Dave the fare-dodger / Escort - Young builder type. Gets on 1 stop down the line and locks himself straight into the train bog. Re-emerges once we get past the next main station to avoid paying an extra £2. (Havent seen him for a while, so i think he may have been sussed). cop

The Snake / Proton - 40ish year old male. Had a run in 5 years ago on the train. I was hung-over and stretched my legs out under the 3 facing 3 seats. He was in the rear most 2 seats (always fast asleep) and i pushed against what i thought was the seat base. Unfortunately it was The Snakes feet and he woke up and hissed at me (hence the name). curse

Gym-bunny / A3 - Young female, always dressed in lycra and tight tank-tops. Bounces down the platform (shes a copper i think). judge

The North African Mafia / Old Merc estate - 3 males in the Broadgate Centre coffee bar. Serve the best (read : strongest) coffee in The City. I'm sure they put illegal substances in the coffee, its like crack! coffee

Return journey :

The Judge (a.k.a Noodles) / Crossfire Conv. - Wire haired old trout that has the most sour face i have ever encountered. Always sits in the same seat (nearest the door) with 2 bags of shopping and turns 45 degrees when we get to the station before destination, thereby blocking anybody from getting off before her (Also drives a Chrysler Crossfire Conv. which makes her a retard in my books). judge

Ashcroft wanna-be / 3 series , bodykitted-up - Young male, with trick hair-cut. Always on the blower talking about recruiting construction / enngineer types. Wears some rather wonky clothes (see quilted burberry jacket with basketball boots) with aviators year round. rofl

Mandy-the-unit / Beetle - Large, short 30 ish female (see cube-like). Always on the mobile through the whole journey, talking about salsa dancing and ping-pong. blabla

The Friday club girls / Minis and Peugeot 206's - All pushing 40. Looks like a United Colours of Benetton poster. One Greek / One African / One Chinese / One English. Come Friday, they will have an impromptu picnic/booze (Fondant fancies and 1/4 bottles of Asti???). They will then shreik with laughter the whole way back drunk

The Temptress / 360 Spyder (in my dreams) - Every train has one. Young, extremely attractive, dark-haired, pouting vamp. Is she reading her book or is she batting her eyelids at yours truely? I have an active imagination and there she will stay cloud9

There are more, including Loaf-of-bread-head / p*ss-stinker / the-sprinter.

God knows what they all think of me laugh

Have a friend who does that with the soduko.... he studies it for 5mins or so, then picks up the pen and the proceeds to write all the numbers in (any order) and does this actually very quickly... finishes it, puts the pen down and then looks it over for a few seconds, smilies and folds it and put it in his bag.

Not many people notice he writes crap but I did cause I studied it as he wrote and noticed he repeated a few numbers too many times and asked him.

Still funny to see the other people stare as if he was a mathematical genius.
