Do you guys also have these small one portion UHT milk things called Country Dale in your offices?

I was looking at one today. It says "UHT Skimmed mile with non milk fat".

I don't understand. Do they remove the milk fat, then add other fat, then package it up? Why don't they just leave the milk fat in it? Are they creating unnecessary work for themselves?

They take skimmed milk (ie tap water with a tiny bit of chalk) and to make it marginally more creamy they add some fat that is cheaper than dairy fat.

forgive my naivety, I always thought if something was labelled as "milk" that it is generally milked from an animal. Are you telling me that this st is just plain water with stuff in it, and it has no connection with an animal apart from the fact that the fat they add to it may be from an animals anus? This is most disturbing!

I hate all those little pots of st you get in hotels - I just insist on a jug of proper milk these days.

As someone who likes a milky coffee I find that 2 pots is never enough too.

No. I was describing skimmed milk in colourful terms. The fat they add could be from anywhere however.

They get the fat as a waste product from kebab shops.
