oil pressure with LS7 engine ?

hi folks,

what is the oil pressure with you ls7 engines ?
I had some leaks during my first hard drive with approx 9 bar which seems too high, now that i lost apporx 1 liter through the leaks i am reading 4-7 bars.

My SBC idles at 4.5 bars.

Right at 5 Bars until its been on for an hour or so then it drops to about 4 to 4.5 Bars. I've been told that is "normal" for an LS7.

obviously the dailey engineering pump that the french racing company has fitted is providing higher oil pressure, varies between 2,5 and 7 bar now. still fighting some leaks on the pressurized oil side.....

Im sure you should be looking at around 60 psi (4 bar ish) max, the ali block if standard wont handle a lot more.

thanks kyle,

have now succesfully tightened my AN fittings up so have no oil leaks any longer. Still the oil pressure
varies from 2,5 idling to a max of 8 bars. Have contacted my engine supplier if this is the correct value,
could be as well that my readings are wrong. Looking at the leaks and how they sprayed in the engine bay,
there must be some high pressure in the system.
