Aha, now I see a little more detail, that is Sandra Bellio's Super- Pro Funny Car. It is rather gorgeous, isn't it? I wonder how far off TMFC spec it is?

The biggest thing about it that isn't TMFC spec and the reason I never want to see it move to that class is the body - I believe they have to be relatively 'new' to be allowed.

Which is pathetic, really. I mean, how can you claim that Force's cars bear any resemblance to a Mustang made in the last 15 years (or indeed, ever)?

I have looked very closely through the FIA rules and it doesn't mention anything about you personally having any say in the matter biggrin

GSR11.9 - All changes of vehicle class must meet with general approval of random people on the internet in accordance with SFI Spec 13.37

I think you are confusing that with the GSR that people on the internet think they know everything biggrin

That has now been superceded:

Give enough people on the internet enough time and enough keyboards and the will almost but not quite manage to get everything ever so slightly wrong, and yet vehemently deny it is anything but the gospel truth as delivered by their reliable yet unnamed source.

Anyway... back on topic it is a lovely car and there should be more of them. Dezsoe Krivan used to have a nice body he occasionally ran on his funny car. I haven't heard much about him for a while, and his website doesn't seem to have been touched for a few years either.

The car was a 1956 Crown Vicky: http://www.dragracing.ch/Photogallery%20Auto%20Emo...

Such as the spelling of supersede, for example. Sorry. You set yourself up for that one and I couldn't resist :-)
