Leven charger/jump kit

How difficult is it to fit the Leven under the bonnet charger/jump kit.

well ,i cant say ive fitted one of these kits,but i recently had the fuseboard out of mine and found it a pain working in the battery area.given that you must have to connect it to the battery,then feed it through the bodywotk,then attach it neatly in several places along the chassis untill its finishing point it seems like quite a faff.i cant really see the advantage over a long set of ordinary jump leads,which you can carry with you like i do.also of course the jump leads are portable so youve always got them for another car if needed.

Don't know about the Leven kit but my better half bought me an Optimate for Xmas and it's great, just plug it into the ciggie lighter socket and Bob's your uncle. Suggest you check to see that you lighter works with the ignition off and if so then just do this. Rich...

The guys at Leven are always very helpful, why not just give them a call.

But I do have one of these fitted to my car (was there when I got it). I have not ever needed to use it but it is so accesible and simply that I do know that if I do ever need it, charging or jump starting will be an extremely simple process.

The job is quite easy and takes about half hour with car on a ramp. The positive lead does not connect to the battery, but to the starter motor. Negative lead to a nearby chassis earth. Invaluable for connecting the accumate to when not in use.
