As we have had a hell of an increase of fly by last week or so at all times of the day including night flights.

if one flies past you low, look to see if there is a tomtom showing a course to Iran

They already are. 12 Squadron are currently deployed in Kandahar. The increased flying is simply because the base has managed to get more jets working under a very limited budget, and it's also the begining of the night flying season.

The ones from Marham are off to Afghanistan in the very near future.

cheers for that, hopefully get to see some nice views of them banking round the edge of the village at night.

Exactly that. Can't usually fly past midnight because its antisocial, and in the summer months it tends to stay light until around 11, which is great for BBQs smile
