Back boxes and general pipework looks same as the CV8 but the middle boxes are much larger. Looks like these are key to getting a good sound without drone etc. I compared my CV8 to a VXR side by side and the stock VXR is ultra tame. CV8 was definitely louder and more fruity but still modest in absolute terms. With no middle boxes the CV8 is a good compromise between classic sound and not upsetting anyone including yourself on the motorway.

Don't waste your money on catback systems unless they have some other proven advantage. Just loose those middle boxes!
