Looking at the 156 2.4 JTD as a possible mile muncher.
However, it seems there are lots of different outputs from what essentially appears the same engine.
Can someone list what years the 10V or 20V was fitted in the 2.4 form? How can I tell which is fitted (over the Internet...) and what output it has?

10v has 140bhp
20v has 175bhp
Not sure exactly but think anything 2003 on will have the 20v.
The 10v is more robust but less refined and less powerful. The 20v needs care to replace the waterpump and aux belts/tensioners with every cambelt change. Other than that, bombproof.
I picked mine up today.

Mine is a Veloce and a little noisy on the motorway. The suspension is pretty hard so transmits tyre noise a little more than I'd likeIt might just be that I have particularly noisy tyres though!

Carfolio says....
136bhp - 2000
150bhp - 2002
175bhp - 2003
But no mention of the 140bhp (it does exist though).
This looks like a 136 engine:

140bhp has a black and silver top:

Can't comment on the 150bhp (perhaps same as above???) but the 175bhp 20v should be obvious as it'll say on the engine cover

The 136bhp was definitely around in 1999, as I had one 136bhp - 2000
