Is there a bit of foreshortening going on there? Id never have thought the old 911 was that small!

Now, look Dougal. These are small, the others are just far away.......

Your one's lovely Mr Frank was looking at Guards myself but then fell in love with the pale skinned one ;-)

How funny, my shortlist was Red or White (needed a change from my default Black choice!). Saw a White Cayman on the M11 last week - it looked stunning.

One of the funniest things I have ever seen on telly!

Back on topic though, the Cayman does look massive in comparison. Longer wheelbase and front overhang look like they give about 3 foot away! Hard pressed to pick a fave as that 911 looks superb in guards red with black fuchs.

Old 911's are tiny from the outside, like most cars of the era.

Newer cars are huge by comparison. My 3.2 SSE was parked next to a mates M reg Clio the lack of difference in overall size was staggering. It is amazing how the eye can decieve.

The difference in size of the wheels is quite something when you see them side by side like that.

The size difference is amazing. I can walk around my 911, get the wheels off etc in the end of my garage. Really struggle to get a 981 in the same space and get out.

Even the old 986 is very big compared to an air-cooled. 981 far too big IMO. 986 ageing pretty well.

Agree the 986 is nice....but 986/987 were very tight inside. 981/718 still a nice looking car for a 6ft plus human.
