According to the BBC & Sky, Winky and McEyebrows will be introducing a Fiscal Responsibility Act which will force future governments to keep the public deficit under control - only 12 years too late.....

Yeah but they won't have to start saving for another year or two yet..2011 wasn't it? Anyway what happens if they break the law?

Winky implementing this has to me at least the same validity as Adolf Hitler implementing a law against genocide.

If brown realy did want to ensure fiscal responsibility from within westminster he could start by throwing himself off big Ben

Isn't there a convention whereby no subsequent parliament can be bound by a previous one? This is just posturing, because it can't possibly have any effect whatsoever.

Brown obviously has absolutely no sense of irony, given the fiscal havoc he has bestowed on this country.
