Just bought an 08 plate s3. Does anyone know if they are any good in the snow? was thinking about taking it on a ski hol this season

Im a bit confused following reading about its part time 4x4 etc

Good in the snow with the proper footwear. like any high performance car summer tyres are not suitable.

Should be very good in snow. My tdi front wheel drive made some 4x4s look silly going up a snowy road 4 up on normal road tyres. It was also somewhat billy goat like in the snow earlier this year too on motorways etc.

As long as you have decent tyres (winter tyres) it'll be fine.

Failing that just get some chains and practice putting them on and off before you go
