Hi there, I'm considering giving my 360 the Swissvax treatment, those doing the job want £350, although extra detailing is included. I don't know a great deal about the procedure but I was wondering if you've had it done, were you pleased with the results, would you mind telling me what you paid?? I guess there must be alternate products available? I'm told they leave the stuff on overnight before final polishing. I'm assuming it's not something a novice could do in his garage...Many thanks. I'm in the Midlands if anyone has a company they could recommend.

Its great stuff. Best wax out there imo and im not saying that just because im a swissvax detailer either.

To get the real top notch finish on any car, its all in the prep. The wax is normally there to add protection and give it that little bit extra sparkle.

Swissvax waxes will improve the look of your car even if you dont get it detailed before hand, but getting a car detailed is the best thing to do.

Then all you need is to use the right products and keep on top of it, using a safe wash technique.

Thanks Paddy328. What is a safe wash technique? I'm guessing Swissvax do some sort of maintenance application. Where are you based? Would it be rude to ask your charges?

I'm based near stratford upon avon, but I'm mobile, so I travel all over. What you want will depend on how much the detail will be, plus the prices that detailers charge will differ slightly. Email me or give me a call and I'll answer any questions you have. Francis

I use swissvax, but do all the detailing myself. Really good stuff!

Hi, for a good detail you need three things;

  1. Good products (Swissvax is good, ask them if they plan on using Devine)
  2. Time
  3. Skill/experience
Here's an example of very complete detail, its amazing what the results look like;

This is very true, but there are a few things to consider here. What does the owner want out of the detail and how much is he willing to pay. Nearly all swissvax detailers will charge an extra 100 pounds on the cost of the detail to use divine. The link to the polished bliss detail shows a stunning job, but that took a very long time to do and would have cost the owner a couple of grand. The original post said that he had been quoted 350. This to most detailers would be a protection or enhancement detail, depending on the detailer. To get the most out of a detail, you have to put the hours in, simple as, but then the price goes up, so like I said before, its all down to what the customer wants and is prepared to pay.
