Removing centre console plate

OK...I have seen the photos on Nobleparts so know how it works but any practical tips on how to do it or should I just get ready for some pain

I have managed to fit electrical motors to the window mechanisms and routed the wires into the cabin so want to fit switches (illuminated) to either side of the centre console. It seemed a better idea than putting the switches in the door panel and I had already fitted power mirrors I would have struggled to get any more wires through into the door.

I know I have added some more weight but don't worry because when I am bored with the cosmetics I will turn my attention to the power .

Would it not be worth putting them on the flat bit just in front of the hand brake before the gator bit? would be much easier.

Open to ideas - just not in the doors!

I have both a double switch for the driver and a single for the passenger but happy to ditch the single if easier/better. Was going to fit one eiher side of the console. All wiring is currently near the centre console so is it easy to get in front of the hand brake without going under the car....I have a M400 without a lift?.....at the moment.

Remove gear gator cover and drop gear leaver you then should be able to run wires from behind dash up the tunnel, keep then all together (in some sleeving). I think you can also get your hands up there from under the car when you remove the front panel under the car.
