Fiesta Flame Zetec
Discussion
Hi,
New poster here, so be gentle!! :-)
Is there such a model as Fiesta Flame Zetec? Been looking at a Fiesta to buy as my old pug is about shot. Have been to a second hand dealers and they have a good looking 53 reg Fiest for sale. The model is a Fiesta Flame 1.4 5 dr. However on the boot it has a zetec badge, have done a bit of research online and there are other (but not many) Flame Zetec models for sale at other second hand dealers.
So I guess my question is, is the Flame Zetec a valid model or have they just stuck the boot from a Zetec because oh an accident or something like that. The dealer says it always does a HPI check or they don't get them in.
Cheers.

Fiesta Flame was a special edition IIRC. The car will be based on a Zetec but when new will have had one or two extras over a zetec and a metalic paint colour thrown into the price.
It would be quite normal for a fiesta badged as a flame to come back as a Zetec on a HPI check as some ltd editions are Dealer specced to clear a bulk of stock. It is something that happens with Fords a lot. Take no notice of the badge and check the paint/trim fit if you are worried about accident damage.
