Anyone who is anyone will know Postman Pat. Anyone with young children will.should know of the new Postman Pat SDS program currently being shown on the good ol BBC Ceebeebies channel.

Seems Pat has now gone specialised into the Special Delivery Service. Obviously with the normal post his job was made redundant after he spent time on the picket line, corporate restucturing and all.

Opinions please on the new series of those PetrolHeads that love the very British Postman Pat.

I cant say im a fan of the theme tune, not as old skool as the original.

I was a bit surprised to see Pat flying a helicopter and piloting a rocket ship around Greendale in an Air Race rolleyes

I guess children today need more stimulation than some old bloke with a cat delivering letters in a old van, picking up screws and sprockets with a magnet when a parcel comes undone, and getting lost in the fog. A sad sign of the times IMHO.

Theme tune isn't as good either frown

Pat should be sacked - he screws up every single delivery he makes!

So it's not far off from being a pretty accurate portrayal of the Royal Mail, then?

It's not very good really, but I watch it in the mornings, as it's better than the three and a quarter hour long Monday through Friday non stop plug for Strictly, aka the Stuart Rose show.

Episode 12 - Pat can't be arsed today, so quickly fills in a wad of missed delivery notes, and gets Jess to sneak up and hide them by the front door.

Episode 18 - Pat has to deliver some fine china to an antiques dealer in time for the auction! Will he make it? A short cut through a forest Special Stage might be the answer!

Episode 21 - Pat has many job applications to deliver in the current economic crisis, but they are too heavy! Luckily, the union gives them all the day off!

My little boy enjoys it so I can't argue with that.

My only annoyance is Pat sounds like Bob the Builder.
