Had a tough time recently and I'm looking to take my wife away in a couple of weeks time for a weekend break. Can anyone suggest anywhere they have visited and enjoyed?

We are both 30'ish years old and have previously really enjoyed London for a West End show and dublin etc.. We are located in Dorset.

Thanks SO much for any input - I'm not being lazy, just interested to here any thoughts?

St. Ives - if you want quiet weekend.

And it's a wrong forum BTW.

st ives - another vote here.try the primrose valley hotel - small, great location, spa treatments and safe parking.we,ve stayed twice for a week in the last 2 years and booked again.
also in st ives is blue hayes (or hays)which is great small hotel a little further out but with fantastic large rooms and is probably the cleanest place i've ever stayed in.also has safe parking.

check out the reviews on trip advisor.
my choice would be primrose valley.not too expensive either and very close to the porthminster beach cafe ( which is def not a cafe)which is highly recommended esp if you like seafood.

also worth a look if you are spending more is the tresanton hotel on the south coast - great food there as well.

Had a touristy weekend with a uni friend in my home city of Edinburgh and had a great time this weekend. Probably helped that it was a lovely sunny day on Saturday, but it was great wandering around taking the odd snap of sights and then having some beers in the sun.
