expensive biggrin

Been a few times on business, you’ll do fine and they all speak great English. Speed limits are really low so it isn’t much fun to drive though plenty of interesting views. Worth taking a day boat trip up the fjords if you get a chance, watch the base jumpers going off pulpit rock.

Worked in Oslo for a bit, lovely place and very nice people, alcohol is expensive, had colleagues work in stavanger, they liked it, people are very friendly, you should have fun there.

If you're going to have access to a car and some weekends off let me know and i can provide some points of interest to visit.
As already said though, everything is very expensive...

The key thing, which no one has mentioned yet, is that it's quite expensive out there. wobble

Don't forget to use your full duty free allowance if you can. It is however a wonderful country, full of wonderful people. So wonderful I married one of them in fact smile

If you're going for 25 days or more then take your car and take a few days out to drive around...

Well I guess the best part is that you'll think the drinks at BTaP are really really cheap! hehe

Need a car sitter then? biglaugh

John has a point though, BTaP will seem pretty cheap...provided you're not too broken to make it the day after you get back to blighty.

Not been to Norway but I've driven through Sweden, Finland and Denmark last week.

I know beers are about €4-9 and petrol/disiesel about €1.00- 1.20 per litre. So its cheaper than UK for fuel but costs more for alcohol. See if you can get a 10day transit visa for Russia (about $50) then head over with a van and get yourself some cheaper-than-duty-free booze. Its very rarely any more than a quid for a beer there and about 20-30pence for petrol/diesel.

Just bring back what you'll need for a month there and job done.

If you need someone to drive the Tuscan there and back, I'll volunteer.

I competed in the Scally Rally in August in a 1989 Ford Escort estate..... we took the ferry to Hook of Holland then drove to Copenhagen - Oslo - Bergen - Trondheim - Bodo - well inside the Arctic Circle.

Fantastic scenery - slow roads - police will nab you if you go too fast.

Oh... one other thing.......... it is expensive....
