Hi Folks,

I know this is very late, especially considering that Thunder Road is already booked and under way on the 18th.

However, Jerry Cookson of Shakey's has just emailed me to say that he has a date available on Sunday 25th October, due to a cancelation, for a 1/4 mile event and Eliminator.

I have explained that we have Thunder Road a week earlier and everyone would have used up their beer tokens (as well as the Mrs' patience) by then and would probably be a no goer, but that I would post up and check interest as a courtesy?

I could do it myself, provided the ute's still in one piece, and there might be folks on here that don't want to do the mile and are near enough to Shakeys to do the qurter.

What I don't want to do at this late stage is take away Thunder Roads Thunder.

My personal preference is to leave it until next year now, unless I could get some cars off here and some off other forum, but as Thunder Road is having enough problems with support at this stage, I'm not confident.

Comments Please below

Cheers G.

I think support at the moment might be a bit thin Gareth,
next spring perhaps with the lunch laid on again would be good.

Two events in two weeks is just asking for trouble as I usually break or wear something out after each event.....

ETA Harry you could always do the second event in the helicoptersilly At least there would be no traction issues;)

Personally I agree. Jerry will be monitoring the results on this post.

I just think it's too late now.
