Quiet is OK. Looking for pleasant surroundings and nice restauants in the "old town"

A friend of mine used to live there. We stayed overnight en-route to Le Mans once so we could get the cheaper early morning ferry wink

It was a pleasant enough place, but nothing special. I'm sure there are better choices along the coast a little.

An alternative would be Sandwich. The accommodation I've found in Deal looks better though.

I haven't holidayed there but Sandwich does get good reviews. There are some good places in Deal though!
