Yesterday, I went to the GB superbikes at Silverstone with a couple of friends. We arrived around 11am and had just entered the paddock area when an official Audi representative called us over and told us that Audi were offering the first 500 people who volunteered one lap of the Silverstone circuit in either RS4s, RS6s, R8s or RSTTs all driven by official Audi trained drivers.......so of course we all volunteered and queued up for about 45 minutes alongside about 24 of the above cars and then when it got to our turn I was taken round by an Audi official driver in a RS6 at supersonic speed!! Absolutely fantastic......my only slight regret was that I didn't get a ride in the R8!!

.......but afterwards I wondered what would happen to these 24 Audis? Will they get sold off through various dealerships with prospective future owners completely unaware that their car had been thrashed round Silverstone many times.

Anyway, it was wonderful advertising by Audi especially as the two official safety cars for the bikes races were both red R8s.

BSB was good! I was at the Abbey hairpin.

We sold a Red V10 R8 the other day, tyres had definitely been on track. Was a used car with 900 miles on, came direct from Audi UK described as ex-press car.

Thats what happens to them.
