Gearbox oil change

hey guys and girls just changed the oil in my box put in redline MTL oil big differance goes into gear with the slip of a finger now just have 1 question was told that it holds 5 litres now only 4 went in until it started flowing out the fill point and then i added half a litre through the reverse switch...so all in 4 and 1/2 litres went in does this sound right..the box was well drained as well.. any thoughts on this

4.5 litres via the reverse light is an overfill.

Normally its 4 litres.

yeah thats ok then as long as there is enough in it monfish said it held 5 litres plus put half a litre in the reverse plug as in over fill it so that will do me

Looking to change my gearbox oil 2 and after a bit investigation i was told its 4.5ltr and its filled throw the reverse light switch. This reduces gear chatter and low rpm`s. Just what i have been told
