Really? Mine is really bright ...
Mine too, annoyingly bright. But I still end up leaving em on, as the entire column of lights is obscured by my arm, whilst driving. The devil said:

As we all know the green flashy light for the indicators is dim dim dim, is the relay for this in the passenger footwell? If so, I was looking to install an LED on the steering column similar to the one for the imobilser.
I have exactly the same problem and intend to fit an LED in exactly the place you describe. As we all know the green flashy light for the indicators is dim dim dim, is the relay for this in the passenger footwell? I'd fit a brighter bulb in the dash but it looks like a total pain to get to.
Done a bit of exploring and found the relay is all part of the switch on the steering column.
I thought there would be a supply away to the lamp in the centre console but its not quite not that simple, not surprised. It would seem if indicating left the console lamp uses the right hand lamps as earth, obviously this has a resistance and makes the lamp dim.
Now working on a LED lamp system so it can be seen
