£29k for a new manual Bathurst? There seem to be a lot of you that paid only 23k for a std car, putting a Bath at around 26k, tops??
Or am I the first victim of the law of supply and demand in this case...

They do seem to have gone up - but hey, just think how much they were just a few months ago! Pictures please (and go and enjoy it!)

Archie Moss? Maybe Vauxhall undersold the early part of the release, rather than you paying too much. As has been said, I wouldn't have wanted to buy one back in May....

Buy a standard one and spec it yourself . You might still be able to find one at £24 ish I got mine from Archie Moss at £23 just lucky with the timing .

Vauxhall decided to dump them at a silly price because they had no money and they were just sitting in stock.
Now that they have gone or nearly all gone with no more coming in the laws of supply and demand are kicking in and the market is dictating the price. At the moment still less then £35K but more than the sub £25K.
Archie Moss were not slow to spot this and bought as many cars as they could, sold the first few at the low price and have now started to raise prices as supplies have dried up.
You should have bought one before because at the those prices they were probably the best car bargain around.

I paid £36k for my Bathurst S with Sat Nav, 20" wheels and Bimodal Exhaust. But that deal was done at the beginning of August.

That makes sense. Means i paid about list less 10% for the other "S" bits plus Options. The value is in the base car, not the extras..

But the Bathurst (or s) is cheaper to insure as it is not classed as a modded car.

The insurance thankfully does not come into it for me as it's run on my fleet policy.

Best thing since sex.

Hey Guys - there might be a lesson here. Isn't this the 2nd time GM/Vaux has dumped on their customers that paid full price and then knock £10k off. I'm chuffed to bits to be on the savings side of the deal and love the 59ner but I feel real sorry for those that paid full whack only months ago. The E2 is out now and talks are under way around bringing some to the UK. No decisions yet. The above is something to consider if the next version does come here!!

Thanks for your advice... I sign on the dotted line on Friday.. It goes for the "s" bits and bobs at the end of the month , so I have few weeks to ponder the benefits.. The bimodal is a definite. Considering a wrap as I'm not convinced by the red!! Was thinking matt black but the wife says it looks "dirty"... Any thoughts?

Not much chance as a Vauxhall. Walkinshaw will bring them in as HSV's though, I believe.

Mel,

It it incredible. Off topic I know but a few thoughts, bear in mind i am comparing to to a 6L VXR with catback and RRP.

Ride & Handling are transformed - totally planted.
Gearchange - oh what a joy
Supercharger Whine - u know its there but thats all (new WPP190 charger)
Exahust - bimodal but both a lot quieter than the Wortec on the Ro. But to be honest, and i Know this goes agaisnt the grain here, I'm actually enjoying the slightly quieter sound - makes it a bit more stealthy. Still pops and bangs nicely - JC described it as the sound of distant artillery and thas spot on.
Sat Nav - no postcode but otherwise cool
Blootooth - useless!
Boot - oh so big

But seriously, compared to the old Ro it is just a completely different car. I know i am comparing a significantly modded car with one much less so, but the Walkinshaw mods are works so well together. I'm chuffed to bits. Now when can i stop feeling guilty when i rev it past 4k? 1000 miles?

Oh and i wonder what its like on wet greasy cold roads??
