Ross Noble's Australian Trip
Discussion
Seeing as it came on straight after the much hyped Flash Forward I guess it got pretty good viewing figures, personally I watched it because I met the guy in the middle of a welsh forest at 4 o'clock in the morning a month or so ago and thought what a down to earth, genuine, decent and genuinely funny guy he really was and this to me has just reinforced it what a thouroughly good program and I'm genuinely looking forward to the rest of the series.

Big fan of Ross Noble. Good show last night too.
I will add that I'd never even heard of him before the welsh forest incident but that had no bearing on it at all. So I watched last night really out of curiosity as although I'd met him I had no idea about his stage act or anything, and I was impressed, yes sure Billy Connoly has done it before on a trike etc but I thought this was more a case of one bloke financing his dream of exploring ALL of Australia by filming it and doing stand up in the most obscure and small Aussie towns, one thing about his act I noted is how topical it was the whole thing seems to be done almost on the cuff and made up of incidents within the last day or so.

Nice to hear that is actually as down-to-earth as I imagined (although his comic style couldnt be further from down-to-earth!!)
I've got a few of his DVDs and I quite like listening to his own commentary of his performance... just because he's an interesting chap to listen to really!

I thought it was pretty good, Billy Connelly's version is more a couple of jokes and a load of culture whereas this is a couple of jokes and random "That woman is probably Peter Andre's mum" moments.
yes but you did see the town he was in didn't you? what else was he to say? This must have been the most difficult travel program ever made, everywhere he goes is an utter s
