FIA GT - Paul Ricard - Round 7 of 8

This weekend sees the seventh round of eight of this years FIA GT Championship at the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit in the South of France. The drivers title is poised with the defending #1 Maserati MC12 drivers level on 45 points with the #4 Corvette C6R drivers.
The FIA GT3 Championship will also have two races of their championship, the French Super Series GT/GT3 Championship will also have two races this weekend and the Lamborghini Super Trefeo will also race.

I watched the race on MotorsTV the other evening. The driving was superb, how many times did the Maserati pull alongside the Corvette before it was able to pass?

The pace of the Corvettes is quite incredible - Jeremy Clarkson et al would have you believe differently.

It was amazing, true racing. watched it live on gt1 link i think its called glued to my seat even i was sitting there going, oooo eeee corr that was close well done chaps good fair race. Makes you laugh when they go and a thrilling f1 race, erm no it was crap they all followed each other and passed in pits never have a full on battle!!! shame last season for gt1 corvettes but there going out with a bang as are all the others

The race was live on MotorsTV and as you say the Sangari Corvette vs the Alex Muller Maserati was brilliant racing..........also the Corvette C6R has been "grandfathered" for 2010 GT1 racing as has the Maserati, Saleen etc. so in effect they should be able to race on next year

I believe it had started to rain, most of them were on slicks and when the Aston put a wheel on teh curb he spun and the rest followed. . .

The race was declared wet before the start however some seem to have taken a gamble on slicks, a bad gamble as it turned out.
