IIRC, Santander are going to be paying off Kimi's contract? I seem to recall reading that it would mean a maximum payout to get rid of him too, all win bonuses etc. It totalled well over £50M.

Interesting that Kimis contract has been terminated.

Interesting, does it mean that if Massa is not up to the job next year due to his injury that Fisi will become second driver? Must be slightly worrying for Ferrari to let a world champion go not knowing the capability of the driver they are retaining.

If it was Santander who had to pay off Kimi, it would make it much more likely that he will be at McLaren next year, although that seems about as likely as it was that Alonso would be announced as a Ferrari driver anyway.

I really really hope Kimi ends up back at McLaren.

I think Alonso will do well though, and Massa doesn't come across as someone who gets upset by team mates, so perhaps one of the few better drivers who would put up with Fonso.

Kimi and Hamilton would be exciting, at least we'd expect them to be battling, much like when Alonso was there. Kovi has been a bit of a non-event sadly, shame, seems a nice bloke.
