Cartier spare parts - help !
Discussion
Greetings Chronophiles.
Some help please. A chum of mine has a gent's Cartier Panther in stainless steel, purchased about 10 years ago for a bag and a bit. All fine so, far he's been very happy with it.
Recently the clasp broke (rest of the bracelet and the watch itself are fine). He approached a well known jeweller to price a replacement part (let's remember this is just a small piece of stainless steel!) and the grand total was...
... £325 !!!
Any thoughts as to whether this is the going rate or any ideas for a cheaper alternative ?
Cheers, DD
