Colt Galant coupe, possible sale

Hi, met a real nice chap today who has a very, very rare beast indeed- a Colt Galant 2 door pillarless coupe
From what I could gather from a short coversation with him he has spent a lot of time and effort to restore parts of it, but now wants to sell up and really wants it all to go to a good deserving home as a "project"

He is an engineer, so I'm assuming when he said "parts had been restored" it involved more than a wire brushing and lick of hammerite

He asked me if I knew a good place to advertise it
I did wonder if there are any forums dedicated to such a beast (my powers of Google search are not finding anything particularly close)

I did suggest on here and eBay would be pretty much a good start to try and find a suitable owner for such a rare beast, but wondered if there were any more old Jap forums that I'm not finding?

Will let him know I have posted on here and get him to "sign up" if there is any interest

The guy who started this thread is looking for a mint Colt Galant 2000 GTO, not sure if thats exactly what your friend has?

Hi all ... the car in question is mine and thanks to robocog for his intro. Here's some text i put on ebay earlier today... and the car is the red coupe as pictured.

I have the whole very rare car which is understood to be one of only 44 that came into the country as a RHD Cyprus import. It has been a cherished Work-in-progress restoration project for half of my lifetime but is now being sold off as spares due to some life changes. Every bit of the body shell, fittings and glass is available, likewise all the internal trim, seats, carpets etc. I have reconditioned the back axle (new bearings, seals, wheel cylinders, frictions etc) and there are loads of new bits including bonnet, front screen, wind-down side glass etc. There’s no engine as I just sold it separately. Wheels are Wolfrace 15” x 7.5J taken from a Nissan 280ZX of the same era and, out of the 4, there are 2 never-used tyres fitted. Every bit of this car exists along with lots of other usable bits which must all go to make space.

Hi All, my brother has a 1977 GTO GSR Coupe and I was wondering Wekyor if you still have the rear bumper from your car for sale, as that is the only item he needs to complete the car. Maybe he could swap it for 2 hen's teeth !(as they are not as rare)
