w many brake lights do you have

only just noticed tonight of the 4 side lights i have at the rear only 2 are brake lights??? I thought all 4 lit up???

Ive got the early lights not the led's??

sva = only two brake lights.

All those light fittings have stop/tail bulbs in them so could be wired with all four brake lights however it is illegal.
The reason being that there must be 100mm separation between brake and fog lights so your other two cannot be wired that way.

that should not be a problem as ive fitted a single fog light on top of the gearbox , above the rear camera ive installed.... Its one of those LED race lights you see on all the race cars nowaday.... I was thinking of having 4 brake/tail lights and then an indicator/ reverse light each side....

not far off i recon... anyway its passed sva some 8 years ago and plod wouldnt know unless i had fog lights on.... to be fair how often do we really use them????? visability under 100 yards?? once every 5 years???

In particular only two of the four brake lights can be used on the Ultima for SVA/IVA because of the distance between brake and fog lights as mentioned by Steve . It isnt a general rule that you cannot have 4 brake lights.
