Hey there,

The majority of those bits are just packaging items.
The black stick things are used to protect the ends of the forks and stays from crushing when in transit, and the large circular ones are to stop the ends of the axles sticking through the sides of the box, just bin them, not needed any more.

The only ones I am not sure of are theses;

Hopefully someone else can help here.

If its the first time you have built a bike, take it easy on the first few rides, remember parts will loosen as they bed in, carry a set of allen keys and keep checking all the important bolts, stem, cranks, brakes and wheels.

Looks like a lovely machine, enjoy!

Aren't they left over bits of packaging? I'm assuming you removed them from the bike when assembling? The long black ones are definitely spacers for where the wheels go (on the forks and rear), I kept mine from my last bike for transport reasons. Take it for a spin, I'm sure you'll realise before too long if anything is missing tongue out

Damn, too slow hehe As above, that picture was the only bit I wasn't sure on, but surely you removed them from the bike when assembling, if you tell us where you removed them from then it might help smile

Plus 1 for the keep checking, I almost lost a chainring at Afan because I stupidly didn't check, managed to lose 2 bolts and the other 2 were very loose when I noticed frown

These are your shims for your STI levers.

STI's dont have reach adjust on the brakes - if you pull the brakes, you'll see that these slot in to the top - thus adjusting the reach to the bars. There should be 2 thicknesses.

Get the shims right first, then adjust the cable pull.

Ah ha, I don't have STI on my road bike, guess that explains why I had no idea as to what they are.
