Hi

what is the recommended way to cut a straight 35mm hole for the hinge on a kitchen door? A drill with a forstner bit or a router.

Hinge recess cutter, you should be able to pick on up from B&Q abd the like. Or even screwfix.

got mine for about 5 pounds from wickes was called a 35mm hinge hole cutter done a fair few doors recently and is holding up well

Damn, wish I'd thought of a Forstner bit - I used a router freehand. It worked fine, but I only had 3-4 recesses to make.
