Was over in Singapore for the F1 GP at the weekend and was hawking around the malls for the best deals on watches, i was predominantly after a Rolex GMTII or Breitling Superocean. Not many GMT's about in SS and black, i found one but the discount was no so good, they were offering it at about eqiv 4kGBP. After much walking around and not being able to find a black Breitling (loads of bronze and blue) i eventually found one, however the discount was not too good, only about 25% from the RRP, so decided against it as theyre available in Londont for those discounts and better sometimes. Anyway i slept on it, then decided to go back after two days and try again in the same shop, aha, different guy at the counter and the same watch was still there, after about 30 minutes of humming and hahing and bartering i managed to get nearly 40% off. And promptly bought it, its the black faced date with SS woven bracelet. It feels a nice solid watch and is well engineered too, well pleased with my little purchase.

No surprise that the price dropped after F1 left town.

Sounds like a good result.

Ok here goes, my new little beauty:

Not the best pictures because of the camera and a couple of finger prints on the glass, but i think will suffice.

That looks an excellent copy of the Brietling.

Hope customs at LHR don't pull you on it though.

A few years back a buddy got caught with a mink coat his wife had on that he'd bought in NY. Cost him £3K in fine/duty and each time he's been through any UK aiport since, he's been pulled and searched. And they say it's just his bad luck!!!!
