Did anyone catch this last night on BBC4? (I think it was?)
Great look at gaming and how it has been demonised by the media. There was one which he said was "probably the funniest game ever created" which looked like a text based adventure of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. I'd love to download and play it as looks like something I might be able to get away with at work.
Cna't find anything about it online or remember the name of the publisher. Can anyone help?

Charlie Brooker is easily the best tv presenter of his type in recent history, his format fits anything and he comes across as properly genuine
Saw a live recording of "You have been watching" and he is excellent. His shows in gerneral superb although.......................David Mitchell did put him in his place a few times when we were there

That was a brilliantly funny text-based adventure game. I think I may still have an original copy of it in a box somewhere, although I'd have to find and install a 5¼" floppy disk drive to read it. Yes, I had the external 3" disk drive.
Watched it last night and really enjoyed it, he was spot on with his review of Wolfenstein, he clearly knows his stuff.
Dara O-Brien and Graham Lineham were also really good.
Two things struck me as wrong though, firstly he never mentioned Racing Games as a Genre, which I believe is the 2nd biggest selling Genre, and he very quickly glazed over Gamesmaster which is a TV programme that was truly great.

You can even get an interpreter for the iPhone/iPod touch called Frotz that will run old Infocom data files. Unfortunately with the updated version, Apple have stopped people installing their own files... Suffice to say I won't be updating.
It was a very good programme, thank goodness for a show that doesn't assume it is only spotty 12 year olds that play computer games! There is a huge adult market out there (in terms or age rather than content) which spends more on computer games than they do on going to the cinema or buying DVDs, yet there is no coverage. Mind you, look how long it took the channels to realise how many people are into cars. It is fine if you are into cooking or antiques though, the channels are filled with the stuff!
